Job Description

Job Summary

Our company is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for a motivated Accountant (1–3 years of experience) to join our team. The ideal candidate will support month-end close, journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, employee expenses, and fixed asset maintenance.

You will also assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules, perform variance analysis, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting. The Accountant will ensure the accuracy of the general ledger (GL) under US GAAP and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve processes.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Accuracy and quality of journal entries and reconciliations
  • On-time completion of close tasks and reports
  • Completeness and organization of account reconciliations and documentation
  • Effective communication and teamwork with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive identification and implementation of process improvements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries (lease, CAM, depreciation, etc.)
  • Process daily/weekly accounts payable and review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance
  • Post daily cash/credit card activity and complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger activity and maintain supporting documentation
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely postings and reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analyses
  • Provide accounting and reporting support for capital projects
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience: 1–3 years of general accounting experience


Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) preferred
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP for routine transactions
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • ERP system experience (QuickBooks or similar) preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • Normal sitting, standing, and computer use required
  • Occasional movement within the office and ability to perform standard computer-based work
